Becoming in Real Time

When Life Feels Like Too Much—and Exactly Enough

I haven’t written in a while—not because I didn’t want to, but because I’ve been living the words before I could write them down.

This season-
It’s been a lot—a wild mix of movement, meaning, and moments that ask more of me than I thought I had to give.

I got into seminary.
I’m wrapping up my BA.
We’ve started a 3D printing business from scratch—The Multiverse Maker—where possibility meets plastic, and creativity finally got a seat at the grown-up table.

I’ve been raising boys with wild hearts and wise eyes.
I’ve been writing a book filled with the kind of quotes that kept me breathing.
And more than anything, I’ve been learning how to hold space for both grace and grit—because they never seem to show up alone.

The truth is:

It’s not always struggle. Sometimes it’s stretching.

It’s not just pressure. Sometimes it’s purpose that refuses to stay quiet.

It’s not all chaos. Sometimes it’s just the noise that comes with growth.

There’s been accountability, reality checks, and the kind of consequences that make you grow up in ways you didn’t plan.
But there’s also been possibility—the kind that surprises you in the middle of your to-do list.
There’s been pushback, yes. But also push-forward. And sometimes that tension is what keeps you becoming.

Becoming isn’t clean or quiet.
It’s messy. It’s inconvenient.
It interrupts everything you thought you knew.

But it’s also sacred.

Not because it’s perfect—
but because you’re still in it.
Still showing up. Still building something that matters.
Still breathing through the tension between what is and what could be.

If you’re in that space too—in the stretch, in the noise, in the sacred middle—
You’re not behind. You’re just becoming.
And there’s more grace here than you think.
